Steve Huber, also known as DJ Steez, is a highly versatile composer, violinist, and music producer. A graduate of Juilliard, Huber studied under famed violin pedagogues Dorothy DeLay and Sally Thomas. His early career included positions with major orchestras such as the Fort Worth Symphony and the Orquestra Sinfônica do Estado de São Paulo, before transitioning to Los Angeles to pursue a more diverse musical path.

 

In L.A., Huber took on concertmaster roles for several orchestras, including the Brentwood-Westwood Symphony and the Huntington Beach Symphony. His session work extends to recording for film, TV, and video games in major studios like Warner Bros. and Capitol Records. He has performed and recorded with notable artists such as Kid Cudi and Keith Emerson.

 

Huber’s compositions have been performed by prestigious ensembles such as the Fort Worth Symphony and ETHEL String Quartet, while his arranging work spans a variety of genres, from classical to contemporary, working with artists like Salim-Sulaiman and the Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival Players. He also composes for media, with works featured in the short film series "Shorty & Morty" and the web series "Compton Abbey".

 

Huber performs and arranges regularly with groups Duo Fortuo and the Hutchins Consort, as well as the Music at the Mission Chamber Series in Fremont. He has recently accepted the role of Artistic Director of Temecula Chamber Music Society.
